Welcome Home Celebration

Each Honor Flight concludes with a Welcome Home Celebration. Our veterans experience a full day when in D.C., and are often exhausted on the flight home, but little do they know what awaits them at Veterans Airport.

Since our Inaugural Flight, our veterans have stepped off the aircraft to a sea of red, white, and blue.

This experience tops off the day for our veterans. Repeatedly, our veterans tell us the recognition for their service is the most memorable thing from their Honor Flight experience. The Welcome Home Celebration is the epitome of this recognition.
