Flight 2 Announcement Date Set

Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois will announce the next Honor Flight date on Wednesday, June 14 (Flag Day) at 10am in the terminal building at Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois, located on Route 13 west in Marion.

“Due to the overwhelming response and support for the Inaugural Flight this past April, the Executive Board has decided to schedule a second trip in 2017, rather than waiting until 2018” stated Nancy Brown, Vice-Chairman of Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois. “We have secured the aircraft and will be able to send 65 veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifice.”

“I am extremely excited about the support we have received thus far” stated Bryan Questelle, Chairman of Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois. “The outpouring of support has far exceeded our expectations and for that, we are extremely grateful to the community and organizations that have helped us thus far.”

Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois is committed to honoring WWII and Korean veterans or any veteran with a terminal illness.

Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois is an established 501c3 non-profit hub of the Honor Flight network.
