96.5 Cents Per Dollar Go Directly to Veterans

Following the successful completion of the Inaugural Flight in April 2017, Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois has completed an internal financial review and is pleased to announce that of monies expended, 96.5 cents of every dollar was in direct benefit of a veteran.

Brian Questelle, Chairman of the Board, said, “I was impressed by the low overhead of just 3.5 cents per dollar, which covers our printing, insurance, and other costs. This was accomplished because no one involved with Veterans Honor Flight receives any compensation for their personal expenditures.”

Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois is completely donation funded and is dedicated to continuing the precident set by the Inagural Flight to keep those donation dollars going directly to our veterans.

Due to overwhelming demand, and higher than expected donations, Flight 2 has been scheduled for October 17, 2017 and will utilize a larger aircraft, taking more World War II and Korean veterans to Washington D.C. completely free of charge.
